Adjusting to life without NPO funding

Over our twenty three years as an independent charity, Culture24 has weathered many changes. We have adapted to different political environments and sector challenges, whilst remaining entrepreneurial and successful.

The loss of our Arts Council England NPO funding is extremely difficult for the team but we acknowledge the many positive changes to the Portfolio in terms of regionality, diversification and new entrants.

Having five years of NPO support has had a positive impact on the development of our services, delivered impact for our sector and built many dynamic partnerships across the UK and internationally. Our reputation and impact are strong.

Whilst the loss of income does present serious challenges, we will be working hard over the coming months to adjust to a life without NPO funding and to understand the impact this will have on our services. We have a good base of other clients, partnerships and collaborators that will help us to plan a way forward.

Digital literacy, skills and capacity remain a vital component in a thriving, resilient and relevant cultural sector and we remain committed to our mission to support arts & heritage people to have the confidence, imagination and skills to make this happen.
