News Into The Bronze Age UnderworldA new book about the mysterious Seahenge site in Norfolk has just been written by Dr Francis Pryor, President of the Council for British Archaeology. Over the next few weeks we will be publishing an extended interview with Pryor and his wife, fellow archaeologist Maisie Taylor. Taylor and Pryor, both hugely respected figures in the study of wetland archaeology, have been closely involved with the controversial project to excavate Seahenge and move it inland for conservation and possible display. In a series of in-depth interviews by Anra Kennedy we hear new theories about the puzzling site, what was found when Seahenge was excavated and worries about the future of the delicate timbers.26 May 2001
