The Museum of Richmond tells the story of Richmond from prehistory, through its rise in prominence as a royal residence in the medieval period to its modern status as a centre of the arts and fashion. We care for and giving access to the rich history of Richmond through our permanent displays, temporary exhibitions, learning and events programme. There is always something new to see and get involved with, check our website for what is coming up!

Celebrating 800 Years of St. Mary Magdalene at the Heart of Richmond

The historic parish church of St. Mary Magdalene has been at the centre of Richmond for over 800 years. This exhibition celebrates the church’s history and is being held at the Museum of Richmond and St. Mary Magdalene. Visit both venues to discover the church’s fascinating stories.
