Sheffield City Kayak Club invite visitors to take to the water this Saturday
From Jarvis Cocker songs to Sheffield Wednesday’s Hillsborough Stadium and the inimitable beauty of the South Yorkshire hills, the River Don's meandering path is inspirational and idyllic. Kelham Island Museum’s annual event aims to bring the riverside to life in an easy walk featuring kayaking, interactive crafts and performances.

Cyclists can get a free health check for their bike, and other attractions opening for the day include the Crucible shop gallery and children’s play area. A guided wildlife walk and a Furnace Trail will also offer titbits you might not have known about the local area.

September 25 2010, runs 10am-4pm. Admission free.
