After a search for an extended family with an identifiably long history, the city of Winchester has covered an oak in Abbey Gardens with pictures from the chosen family.
Tony King put his family forward. His blacksmith father Stanley was born in Winchester in 1896 and met his future wife, Lily Catchlove, in the Black Swan Hotel, and they had nine children.
The eldest living member of the King family is in his 70's, the youngest is six months old and more than three quarters of the 100-strong family still live in the Winchester area.
"I'm glad to be part of such a large and close family" said Tony King. "We've always been in Winchester and I feel a part of the place - I've found out about family members I didn't know existed. They say Winchester is the City of Kings, and that's our motto".
The Family Tree is part of the city's Mile-Millennium project, a mile-long exhibition of 700 photographs sent in by local people.
