Cosmeston Medieval Village is the largest reconstructed Medieval Village in the UK. The buildings were reconstructed by archaeologists on their original 14th century foundations between 1979 to 1990.

Visitors to the village are guided around either by costumed tour guides or audio units, who explain to visitors what village life was like in Wales in the middle of the 14th century a time of the Black death and the Hundred Years' War.

Opening hours

The village is open between 10:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the summer and from 10.00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the winter.

Guided tours are 10:30, 12.00, 1:30 and 3,00 o'clock during both the summer and winter. Tickets for guided tours can be purchased from the main reception in the country park and must be purchased no later than 15mins prior to tour start time.

Guided tours are subject to school parties, groups and events. Please call ahead to check availability

Audio guides can be purchased from the main reception in the country park and operate from 10.00 until 4 in the summer and 3.00 in the winter.

The village is closed on the following dates: Dec 24, 25, 26 and Jan 01.

Admission charges

Adults £5.10, children and concessions £3.60, Children under five free of charge, Family tickets: 2 adults & 2 children £16.00, 2 adults & 3 children £17.50
