Pershore College

RHS event venue

Pershore College (now part of Warwickshire College) specialises in horticultural education. Within its grounds are a 15-ha (38-acre) fruit and vegetable production unit, an 8-ha (20-acre) nursery stock and specialist plant unit, and a plant centre. The garden centre sells a selection of college-grown trees and shrubs including plants from the National Collection of penstemons, alpines, herbaceous plants, climbers, roses, house plants and fruit trees and bushes in season.

It is open daily from 9 am - 5 pm (10.30 pm - 4.30 pm on Sundays; 4 pm in winter). The college also has very fine show garden designed and maintained the Alpine Garden Society, full of interesting plants and ideas for design and cultivation. The large rock garden offers a great variety of habitats for plants with different cultural requirements, and the young plantings are looking very good. The RHS Centre at Pershore was established in 1989 to offer a variety of courses, lectures and workshops on all aspects of horticulture for both members and non-members in the Central Region.
