The Museum will be re-opening on Saturday 20 October.

The Roald Dahl Museum is a great little family Museum, situated in Great Missenden, the Buckinghamshire village where Roald Dahl lived and wrote for 36 years.

The Museum, aimed at 6 to 12 year olds, features three hands-on galleries and is home to the Roald Dahl archive. Boy gallery looks at Roald Dahl's school days while Solo gallery houses his original Writing Hut. The Story Centre puts your imagination centre-stage with fantabulous Roald Dahl workshops and events to inspire the writer in you.

Scoff ‘n’ Stroll

Stretch your legs and fill your tummy! Enjoy a guided walk in the glorious woods and fields that inspired Roald Dahl, listen to extracts from Roald Dahl’s stories, then get stuck into a delicious afternoon tea in the Café. Enjoy a perfect Sunday spent exploring and eating!

Event details
Time: 12.00pm & 2.00pm.
12pm event: walk 12pm, cream tea at 1pm.

2pm event: walk 2pm, cream tea at 3pm.

Cost: £10.00 per participant. This includes a guided walk and cream tea. You don’t need to visit the Museum to enjoy this event.

Age: suitable for 6+ years. Under 16s will need to be accompanied by an adult. Participating children aged 2 to 4 years will still need to pay.

Dogs: No dogs are allowed - except guide dogs.

Type of workshop: approx 3km walk. Footpaths might be muddy and are steep in places. Please come dressed appropriately for the weather.

Food and allergies: With our traditional cream tea you'll enjoy a delicious home-made scone with jam and clotted cream served on vintage crockery and washed down with pot of tea all made using locally sourced ingredients.

If you have any allergies or dietary requirements, please email cafe@roalddahlmuseum.org after you've made your booking, we have a range of gluten free and vegan cakes available if required.

If you would like to purchase any further food or drinks from the Café your Scoff and Stroll ticket entitles you to 10% off any order.
