Archaeology Data Service Virtual Walkabout Creator

The Virtual Walkabout archives contain a series of photographs, presented in their virtual order from a given point of departure, connected by a series of moves to replicate walking around an archaeological landscape: walking up an avenue, around a carved stone or from one site to another.
The Walkabout can express any series of relationships between images that exist on a single 2 dimensional plane, for example of buildings, artefacts or artwork. There is also a Virtual Walkabout Generator tool and tutorial, which can be used to generate walkabouts from any location, provided images are arranged, processed and indexed.
