One of Ryedale's finest attractions, Nunnington Hall nestles on the banks of the picturesque River Rye. With period rooms, major exhibitons, an organic walled garden, a full events programme, peacocks and ghosts, this honey-coloured Yorkshire family manor house offers something for everybody to enjoy. There is a tearoom inside the main Hall serving food and refreshments from 11am. The restaurant is very happy to cater for special dietary requirements - vegetarian and gluten free options are always available.

Period rooms displayed with a 1920's feel reflecting the donor family's period of occupation with layers of history then going back to Tudor and Stuart times before that. There are some nice examples of needlework and paintings, among a varied and interesting collection of contents. Paintings include a number of watercolours by Myles Birkett Foster. The Hall is also showing items that once belonged to the Graham family - former owners. This collection includes Jacobite memorabilia including items once owned and worn by Bonnie Prince Charlie.
In the attic rooms, visitors will discover the Carlisle Collection of Miniature Rooms, one of the world's finest collections of miniatures.
The Hall also hosts a changing programme fo temporary exhibitions by major artists and photographers. The 2007 programme include exhibitons by the musician and photographer Bryan Adams, the illustrator Ronald Searle and the photojounalist Tom Stoddart
