Nostell Priory is an 18th century architectural masterpiece set in a landscape park. The house was built by the architect James Paine on the site of a medieval priory for Sir Rowland Winn, 4th Baronet. Later, Robert Adam was commissioned to complete the state rooms which are amongst the finest examples of his interiors.

Discover a rich variety of landscapes, flora and fauna as you explore the gardens. Enjoy seasonal wonders in the Kitchen Garden with a stunning show of spring daffodils followed by a riot of summer scents and autumnal colour. Follow the winding paths through the Pleasure Grounds to find a network of lakes, woodland and rolling meadowland filled with wildlife. Don’t miss the secluded Menagerie Garden, once home to exotic species including monkeys and lions. To stumble upon this tucked away oasis, take the circular walk over Druid’s Bridge with its tumbling cascade, under the Gothic Arch and head back towards the courtyard for a relaxing cuppa and slice of cake.
