Nostell Priory is an 18th century architectural masterpiece set in a landscape park. The house was built by the architect James Paine on the site of a medieval priory for Sir Rowland Winn, 4th Baronet. Later, Robert Adam was commissioned to complete the state rooms which are amongst the finest examples of his interiors.

In the gardens are delightful lakeside walks with a stunning colection of rhododendrons and azaleas in late spring. The historic landscape park, which was acquired with assistance from the Heritage Lottery Fund in 2002, is now open to the public for the first time and is currently undergoing restoration and replanting.
