This sumptuous exhibition features the wedding dresses worn by Emma Thompson and Kate Winslet in the 1995 film of Sense and Sensibility, and an outfit worn by Mia Waskikowska in the 2011 film Jane Eyre, together with costumes from the ever popular BBC TV’s 1995 Pride and Prejudice and ITV’s 2007 Mansfield Park.
The curators have also put together a special display highlighting wedding fashions of the 1870s, 1920s and 1980s, a lovely opportunity to take a closer look at wedding dresses and accessories from the Harrogate costume collection.
