Railway Children 40th Anniversary - Ingrow Museum of Rail Travel
2010 marks the 40th anniversary of the EMI film version of "The Railway Children", starring Jenny Agutter, Bernard Cribbins, Dinah Sheridan, Sally Thomsett, Gary Warren and William Mervyn. The Ingrow Museum of Rail Travel is home to five of the vintage railway carriages used in the film, as well as the steam locomotive "Lord Mayor" which was featured on the film soundtrack LP record sleeve. One carriage is being specially repainted into an approximation of the livery carried by most of the carriages for the filming. Also small display of Railway Children memorabilia.
