The University of Hull has a small but outstanding collection specialising in paintings, sculpture, drawings and prints produced in Britain in the turbulent period 1890-1940.

Also open before art lectures and during the interval of certain music recitals in the Middleton Hall.

Also on display are two collections of Chinese Ceramics on long-loan from Dr and Mrs Peter Thompson, Hong Kong.
