The gallery presents an exciting programme of temporary exhibitions throughout the year, featuring the best of art, craft, photography and sculpture from regional, national and international artists.

Yorkshire Makers

The ever changing Gallery 6 at Huddersfield Art Gallery promotes a variety of great Yorkshire craft & design, with displays of unique handcrafted jewellery, prints, textiles and ceramics all by Yorkshire makers. All artwork featured in the exhibition is for sale.

Perspectives: Aspects of the Kirklees Collection

Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival: PRES@60

PRES (Polish Radio Experimental Studio) is an institution oriented towards audio-visual experimentation. Influenced by visual arts and happenings, artists and composers managed to establish a new language, open to the listener’s interpretation.
PRES@60 is curated by Michał Libera, Michał Mendyk and Daniel Muzyczuk and co-financed by the Adam Mickiewicz Institute

Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival: Małe Instrumenty plays PRES

Featuring the most legendary Polish electronic piece of music, Study on One Cymbal Stroke by Włodzimierz Kotoński, realised by PRES in 1957, performed live on toy and self-made instruments by Polish explorers and constructors of Małe Instrumenty.

Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival: PRES@60 curator’s talk

Curator Daniel Muzyczuk guides us through the works on display in the Polish Radio Experimental Studio Exhibition, and discusses the studio’s influence on architecture, visual art, and film in Eastern Europe.
