Experience life as it was over 100 years ago through the sights, sounds, smells and tastes of a recreated Victorian Town. Victorian characters will give you a fascinating insight into Victorian life as they go about their daily lives in their cottages, shops and places of work.

• Witness traditional skills in action at the printers, candle makers and decorative plasterers
• Explore original industrial monuments such as the Hay Inclined Plane and Blast Furnaces.

Victorian School Session (KS1-2)
Booking a school sesion gives your KS1-2 class the opportunity to be taught for half a day in an authentic Victorian school. Either
- teach your class yourself with our detailed support pack Easter - October or
- let an experienced member of our staff do the teaching October- April.
Your class will experience lessons in the 3Rs as well as an object lesson, writing on slate and drill. Costumes for all children and two members of staff are provided. Maximum 35 children Split groups possible Duration 2hrs

Getting there
The Ironbridge Gorge is on the River Severn, 5 miles (8km) south of Telford town centre in Shropshire. Take junction 4 or junction 6 off the M54. Follow brown and white signs to Ironbridge Gorge.
