Eco-Craft exhibition

  • 1 February — 7 May 2016 *on now

An exhibition showcasing designermakers who have an ethical approach to craft-making. This ranges from makers incorporating found objects into their work, recycling and up-cycling and/or using fair-trade materials to those using energy-efficient processes.

At a time when we are often unaware of the origins of materials used in items we buy, this exhibition encourages the viewer to consider the object’s journey. Makers registered with the Fairtrade Foundation are also included. Fairtrade Certified Gold is the world’s first independent ethical certification system for gold and makes sure that smaller mining companies are not pushed out of business.

As always, with a range of price tags for all budgets, it’s the perfect opportunity for a guilt-free treat!
