TAKE 5: Selected Craft Exhibition

  • 7 November — 13 December 2015 *on now

Arriving just in time for Christmas gift shopping this exhibition shows the work of 5 regional artists. It has been curated by Nuneaton Museum & Art Gallery to showcase a broad range of ‘must have’ crafts in a variety of mediums.
Each exhibitor offers a range of well-produced and imaginatively designed work.
TAKE 5 includes handmade jewellery, bags, ceramics, collages, cushions and objects made from recycled everyday materials.
Artists and Makers included in the show are Georgina Brinciotti, Emma Caplin, John Commane, Amanda Glanville and Val Hunt.

Georgina once worked at two top fashion houses in Paris and creates handcrafted bags. She now works under her own ‘Romola’ brand, which you can see on some of her creations.
Working with collage, Emma Caplin creates bright, bold and colourful images. She will be presenting original collage artworks, as well as cushions and prints which feature images of her original work.
Ceramicist John Commane presents a selection of vessels, vases and dishes. John specialises in working with Raku and will be showing both Stoneware and Raku ceramic works.
Amanda Glanville specialises in making extremely small beads and will be exhibiting a selection of jewellery featuring her beads. Amanda is a regular face at some of the UK’s top designer maker fairs and has also take part in open studio events.
Val Hunt makes her work by using discarded everyday objects. She has been a creative recycling artist for over 25 years. Val will be showing a large body of work, much of which is made from the metal from drinks cans.

Work in the show will be for sale and prices start from just £5! Please note the gallery accepts only card and cash for sales.

Lindsey Marshall: Word & Image

  • 21 November 2015 — 7 February 2016 *on now

Lindsey Marshall makes beautiful textile and paper-based works. These pieces are inspired by sayings or stories, or fragments of conversation. The show uses shapes and colours to communicate meanings which may not necessarily be understood through words and in this way Lindsey explores the relationships between word and image.
