Wolverhampton Art Gallery aims to provide a friendly, accessible and inclusive environment for visitors to explore art, at their leisure.

The Art Gallery has two large galleries decorated to reflect the Georgian and Victorian artworks on display and designed to engage visitors with the historical themes relevant to the artworks displayed. The award winning Sensing Sculpture gallery offers a sensory experience of traditional and contemporary sculptures, designed for audiences with visual impairment and without.

As well as these permanent exhibitions the gallery also hosts an exciting programme of temporary exhibitions, workshops, talks and other events.

A new extension includes a bright new reception area and two unusual triangular galleries. The new spaces house Wolverhampton’s extensive Pop Art Collection and provides additional space for special exhibitions of both contemporary and traditional art.

Get Moving

http://www.wolverhamptonart.org.uk/shop

Animation gives children a strong sense of control: they get to create their own characters and make them do whatever they like. It is great for introducing students to the idea of concept in artwork and to storytelling. The content can be shaped by their life experiences and can work as a medium to express their feelings.
Animation can be used to improve literacy skills and to develop team-working skills. Producing animation may involve many processes: storyboarding, scripting, developing characters, creating the animated figures, recording vocals etc. These processes can be used to improve reading, writing and listening skills.
Because producing animation can be very time consuming
