The Men Who Lie In The Road by Simon Lewty

Simon Lewty: The SIGNificance of Writing

  • 29 April — 10 July 2016 *on now

This show includes early works dating back to the 1970's, spanning almost 50 years, alongside work recently produced by the artist.

It will feature the fantastical artwork The Men Who Lie In The Road from our collection, alongside works on loan from both Art First and Simon Lewty's private collection.

Lewty's work was last shown in his home town of Royal Leamington Spa in the early 1990s. This exhibition will allow audiences to discover, or rediscover, Simon Lewty's exceptional practice as an artist who has made drawing and the art of creative, poetic writing his life's work.
