  • 3 March — 10 May 2015 *on now

The exhibition, which was organised by Browne’s great-nephew Nick Peacey for the Gallipoli Music Memorial 2015 project, brings together family archive material alongside compositions by Browne, to celebrate his career. It will explore his early life in Leamington, his musical calling and his experience of war as part of the Royal Naval Division that fought in Belgium and Turkey. The exhibition will also look at the 29th Division, which was billeted in Warwickshire and north Oxfordshire in early 1915, before embarking for Gallipoli. The final section of the exhibition will explore Browne’s musical legacy.

Sensational Clay

Sensational Clay

  • 6 March — 4 May 2015 *on now

This exhibition of ceramics has something for the whole family to enjoy. Every item in the exhibition has been inspired by the five senses: touch, taste, sound, smell and sight. From miniature hand-held items to impressive musical pots, each item can be touched and explored to find out more about the materials used to make it.

Visitors will be able to dig into sand pits to discover hidden treasures; explore the tactile, textured wall panels; and play the tuneful pots.
All the family will be enticed by the tables full of ceramics inspired by foods and can try to guess the smells coming from the scented objects.

  • Any age
