Storiel - Gwynedd Museum & Art Gallery boasts a collection formed since 1884 by Bangor University. Now run by Gwynedd Council, the Museum and Gallery is located opposite the cathedral in a Grade II listed building that was the Old Bishop's Palace and is the oldest building to be dated by inscription in Wales. There is strong community involvement at the museum and an active Friends organisation.

Beastly Bugs and Super Spiders

  • 13 May 2016 6:30-8:30pm

A live acoustic set will be performed in the gallery by Gai Toms, a Welsh singer songwriter. There will be a spidery feel to one of his songs and the audience can participate by co-devising a song with Gai.
Drop in sessions will take place around the museum.
Craft sessions in the activities space; Bush Tucker Trials in the café; Bug Trail around the museum; Exhibits from Bangor University’s Natural History Collection. The museum’s Collection Officer will be at hand to explain the importance of the museum’s conservation work
