Howard Anderson made this site to honour the memory of his grandfather, Corporal Albinus (Albert) Edward Allen, who served with the Middlesex Regiment from 1914 - 1920 and remarkably survived the battles of Loos, Somme and Paschendale.

Drawn from the Battalion War diary it makes for a fascinating and detailed journey following one group of men with links to trench maps and other salient documents that provide a vivid pictureof the war at battalion level.
