Museums, galleries and science centres, to name just a few non-school settings, have a wealth of expertise to contribute to using informal environments for teaching and learning and they are increasingly involved in ITT (Initial Teacher Training).
Working with professionals in cultural and heritage venues outside the classroom allows you as a trainee teacher to develop your subject knowledge and gain fresh and new teaching and learning insights.
