This conference for teachers and museum and archive educators will showcase the work taking place in the North East which supports literacy development both in and out of school.
Keynote speaker Sue Palmer, independent consultant and writer, and former headteacher, will be exploring imaginative cross-curricular approaches to writing.
There will be a chance to learn more about Exploring Literacy through Museums, the successful writing project which has resulted in 75% of participating pupils raising their National Curriculum writing levels.
A range of case studies and workshops from around the region will also provide practical ideas.
