News: We love the ArtisanCam website as it's perfect for KS1 and beyond with arty interactives for you and your class. Here's an update for you of some of our favourite resources.

Trees and Tides
This land art interactive from ArtisanCam allows you to head to the woods or the beach and then make a sculpture out of the objects around you. The interactive is straightforward to use too but here are some tips for making the most of the resource:
- If you're at the beach, the stick can be used to dig a black hole in the sand - and there's a stick which does a similar function in the woods too.
- The leaves or the pebbles can be rotated using the arrow keys.
- If you place a stone on the large stone bottom left and then use the grey, marbled stone to hit your first pebble, you can smash the pebbles in half.
- The iron ore type stone near the stick at launch can be used to scratch a design on other pebbles.

Slip Decorator
This interactive is a firm ArtisanCam favourite. Pupils can create their own designs using various tools and slip colours and then fire their work in kiln. The interactive and the short and helpful video footage are spot on. This would be a great interactive for your pupils' whiteboard starter activity before they begin any clay work of their own.

Superactioncomicmaker
ArtisanCam's most popular activity in 2009 was Superactioncomicmaker - and a particularly attractive interactive to boys so we are reliably informed by Keith Alexander at ArtisanCam.

There are loads more fantastic materials available on ArtisanCam. Check out the Teachers' Resource section.

Amongst the rich selection of resources, there are videos relating to the interactives above, including how to make a sculpture, a Photoshop resource (featuring students making their own comic books) and a Photography workshop.
