News: Houses of History timeline is the latest educational interactive from Parliament's Education Service.

Houses of History tells the story of the Westminster Parliament and the social political changes in a fun, animated and interactive timeline.

Pupils can choose from themes, such as political campaigning, to focus on in the timeline. They can also collect 'assets' - these are articles, images and quotations to add to their 'My Project' section of the resource as research for writing a newspaper article. A newspaper template is included in My Project.

Parliament comes to you
Parliament's services are free and support the political literacy and citizenship education requirements of the national curricula. Houses of History timeline is just one of the many varied online resources and games supported by curriculum guidance on the Parliament website.

And even if you can't get to Parliament, it can come to you; its outreach programme runs student workshops and teacher training across the UK.

You can also keep up-to-date with Parliament's news and resources with e-news for teachers from Parliament's Education Service.
