Resource round-up: With the ash cloud from the Icelandic volcano currently affecting air traffic in the UK, now is a great time for a volcano topic with your class. We've brought together free, volcano-related resources from the UK's museums.

On our kids' site Show Me, in Make your own erupting volcano at home, we've got a great erupting volcano activity from The Manchester Museum. The feature also links to the Building a Volcano interactive from the Natural History Museum plus more child-friendly volcano information.

How about the Natural History Museum's key stage 3 WebQuest, In the Path of the Volcano?

we also recommend the National Space Centre's e-Mission Operation Montserrat videoconference details and resources.
