Museums, galleries, archives, libraries, heritage sites and science centres put on events for families to tie in with national events and celebrations, so check out what's happening at your local cultural venues via our Places to Go section.

Recommending museum activities to your pupils and their families is also a great way to encourage participation in culture and the events are often free, so very good value too.

You can use the Search Site box at the top right of our Culture24 pages to find events by typing in key words. Click on the link for search results for February 2011 events.
