We love this make and do video from the Imperial War Museum (IWM) all about Wartime Tips for an Austerity Christmas.

It's a perfect classroom resource if you're teaching World War Two because as well as the great step-by-step decoration make and do by Alex Hulme from the IWM, there are contemporary images from the war period such as the one above and information on wartime Christmas decorations.

For instance, did you know that paper was scarce during the War, so people resorted to being inventive when making their decorations and even sweet wrappers were used?
