The newly refurbished Whitechapel Gallery, which reopened in London last week (April 2 2009), houses a tapestry of Guernica, one of Picasso's greatest works.

Show Me, our kids' site, has a news story on Whitechapel's tapestry version of Picasso's Guernica. Picture © Show Me

There's a feature about the tapestry on our kids' site Show Me - a great link for a class literacy activity on the interactive whiteboard.

For your own background information on the painting, there's also the very useful Piecing together Guernica from the BBC.

Piecing together Guernica, however, is not for your pupils, as the content is very much aimed at adults.
