Feel like you could do with brushing up your poetry skills?

The British Library is holding a poetry conference for teachers of English Language, Literature and Creative Writing on Tuesday May 12 2009.

It coincides with the British Library’s Twinkle Twinkle Little Bat Exhibition, which runs from April 1 – June 28 2009, and celebrates 400 Years of children’s poetry.

The poetry conference offers teachers the opportunity to develop skills for teaching poetry.

You will be able to visit the Twinkle Twinkle Little Bat Exhibition, talk to curators, develop your own skills for writing poetry and teaching poetry in the classroom.

There will also be readings from contemporary poets, including Children’s Laureate, Michael Rosen, who will be available for a Q&A session.
