Cotehele in Watercolour with Ian Heard

  • 13 August 2014 10am-5pm

This is a tutored workshop for painters with some experience. It will cover working and painting outdoors and working up from your sketchbooks. We will look at how to tackle architecture and gardens using traditional techniques and modern know-how, ways of seeing and ways of drawing.

Cotehele Quayside

Nancy Belle River Trips

  • 3 September 2014 11am-1:30pm

We're offering 13 trips in 2014. Starting from Cotehele Quay the Nancy Belle will head up river past riverside woodlands, under the railway viaduct, past Calstock and deeper into the valley and on towards Morwellham Quay. Throughout the trip there will be a commentary on the valley's fauna, flora and history. The trip will last approximately 2 hours and on returning to Cotehele Quay everyone will be invited to the Edgcumbe for a pasty lunch.

You'll catch the 10:23 service bus from Cotehele Quay to Callington to perambulate Kit Hill, a wild, rugged granite hilltop famous for its fine views and fascinating history, then walk back to Cotehele using paths and lanes. The walk is approximately nine miles.
