Cotehele Quayside

Nancy Belle River Trips

  • 3 September 2014 11am-1:30pm *on now

We're offering 13 trips in 2014. Starting from Cotehele Quay the Nancy Belle will head up river past riverside woodlands, under the railway viaduct, past Calstock and deeper into the valley and on towards Morwellham Quay. Throughout the trip there will be a commentary on the valley's fauna, flora and history. The trip will last approximately 2 hours and on returning to Cotehele Quay everyone will be invited to the Edgcumbe for a pasty lunch.

You'll catch the 10:23 service bus from Cotehele Quay to Callington to perambulate Kit Hill, a wild, rugged granite hilltop famous for its fine views and fascinating history, then walk back to Cotehele using paths and lanes. The walk is approximately nine miles.

River Tamar Valley

Great British Walk - Tiptoe with Turner

  • 18 October 2014 10am-4pm

Join this guided walk in the footsteps of Turner to Calstock and Gunnislake on a mixture of paths and lanes before returning to Cotehele. This walk will be approximately nine miles.

King of the Hill Cycling Race

  • 18 October 2014 10am-12pm, 1-3pm

This is a knock out cycling competition organised by the Plymouth Cycle Club.

You'll start at the Edgcumbe tea-room on Cotehele Quay and cycle up the hill to just near reception at Cotehele House.

The morning event is a race to decide who will be in the King of the Hill race and the afternoon event is the King of the Hill race proper.
