First World War exhibition at Cotehele - On the Home Front

Not many people are aware that Cotehele House is a war memorial. To commemorate the centenary of the First World War we are holding an exhibition of items loaned from members of the local community, who have generously shared their stories with us. The exhibition will be on until the end of 2018. This year's theme is 'On the Home Front'. Future working titles are: 'Keep the Home Fires Burning' (2017) and Dulce et Decorum est (2018).

Accessibility: The exhibition is wheelchair accessible.

Homes and Gardens in Cotehele Gallery

The art and craft gallery in the east range of the house is dedicated to exhibiting and selling the work of West Country artists and craft makers. Pop in to admire the spring exhibition and find inspiration for your garden.

May half-term fun

Have fun making things and you'll be able to tick off some 50 things too. On Monday discover what's in a pond (no 35), Tuesday make paper from scratch, Wednesday and Friday, create some wild art (no 18) and Thursday make quoits out of rope.

What to bring/wear: Activities will take place outdoors under a marquee (except pond dipping) so you might want to wear your wellies and a mac if it's raining.
