The museum and art gallery dedicated to art inspired by nature from around the world. The collection spans 1500 years, from 60 countries by 600 artists and craftspeople. From traditional painting to contemporary sculpture and abstracts, ethnic art and oriental treasures, there's something for everyone all housed in a fine Georgian mansion dating from around 1750. There's a coffee shop, gift shop and sculpture garden with a children's play area, free parking and disabled access.

Small but Perfectly Formed

The museum's first ever exhibition of stereoscopic (3-D) images, first invented in 1832 and now enjoying a revival. Borrow some of our 3D glasses and come on a journey through the micro world, seeing things, as for the first time, in their true three dimensional form. Discover a whole new view of beauty in nature.

The Wildlife Art Society International

The Wildlife Art Society International annual selling exhibition of wildlife art. Around 300 paintings, drawings, original prints, photographs and sculpture by professional and part-time members of this active organisation will be on display, the majority for sale. Members will be demonstrating throughout the exhibition.

James Osborne Exhibition

  • 14 June — 10 July 2016

A celebration of work by James TA Osborne RE (1907 - 1979) who regularly exhibited at the Royal Academy and the Society of Painter-Etchers and Engravers. He experimented with print and paper leaving a varied body of work examples of which are held in public and private collections internationally.

Aspects of Tunnicliffe

A unique selection of work assembled in association with the Charles Tunnicliffe Society. Described by Sir Peter Scott as ‘the greatest wildlife artist of the 20th century’. Tunnicliffe was a prolific and hugely influential artist.

Stallholders and visitors at fair

Annual Gift and Craft Fair

  • 29 October — 31 December 2016

Nature in Art’s annual Gift and Craft Fair returns this autumn for more family fun and the chance to buy early Christmas presents at an array of stalls.

Offering more than 40 stalls overflowing with handcrafted wares direct from the makers, visitors can browse beautiful stained glass; there is set to be a selection of woodturning crafts on offer; not to mention sparkling jewels; leatherwork; ceramics and an array of textile wares.

This year will feature many new and unseen stalls so definately worth a visit!

School Workshops

School visits available with a range of workshops to choose from. Schools take part in three activities - a museum visit plus two practical activities. With activities ranging from painting to batik and pond dipping to net sweeping there are plenty of activities to suit your chosen topic. (Maximum size 90 children, usual day 10.00 - 2.30, £4 per child adults free)
