When in Salcombe do find time to visit our Museum. It is one of the town’s few wet weather attractions and has, in recent years, been much upgraded. Our fine collection of portraits of nineteenth century Salcombe built ships can now be enjoyed to the full. We have numerous items recovered by divers from the wrecks of the many ships lost around the dangerous local coast.
Other exhibits include ship and boat-building tools dating back to the days when everything was built by hand, much material from the two World Wars of the last century and other items of local historical interest. There is plenty to amuse and instruct the young people too.
