Teignmouth & Shaldon Museum – Teign Heritage - is temporarily closed for the whole of 2009 until the summer of 2010 when our longed for annexe turns from a dream into reality. We shall have an iconic building, in the middle of town, which will be a landmark for Teignmouth. The Museum will be a delightful celebration of the local area’s long association with the sea and will provide an introduction to some of the important people and the stories of Teignmouth and Shaldon’s past.

When we re-open you will receive a very warm welcome and a visit to our Museum will add a new dimension to your stay in Teignmouth and Shaldon. We will still be directly opposite the train station and you will not be able to miss us.

We are very happy to continue to help you with your research enquiries and the Curator, Carol Chambers, would be pleased to talk with you about progress with the Museum etc. We are really looking forward to meeting you at the much-improved Museum in 2010.
