Lydiard Park is the ancestral home of the Viscounts Bolingbroke. The ground floor state rooms of the Palladian house are open to visitors all year round. Containing original family furnishings, portraits and photographs of the St John family and ornate plasterwork, the house is beautifully presented and outside the 18th century ornamental fruit and flower Walled Garden has recently been restored to its former glory. St Mary's Church next to the house also contains some exceptional monuments to the St John family.

160 Camp: The Lydiard Park Prisoner of War Hospital Camp
A new display in the State Rooms of Lydiard House tells the story of the Second World War Prisoner Of War Hospital Camp in the grounds of Lydiard Park. It will feature photos, maps and true stories about the inmates, doctors, nurses and guards. Museum entry charge applies

Pond Dipping
Discover the hidden wildlife in Lydiard Park's lake - a practical, hands on session of pond dipping on Bank Holiday Monday and Tuesday at 11am and 1.30pm. Booking is essential. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
