Walks with the Mayor's Guides
As part of the special exhibition Jane Austen’s Bath at the Victoria Art Gallery join a Jane Austen walk by the Mayor’s Guides. Walks start at 11.00am from the Abbey Churchyard by the Mayor’s Guides sign (between the entry doors to the Roman Baths and the Pump Room). Walks finish at the Victoria Art Gallery by Pulteney Bridge.

Ages 3 to 6 Seaside Explorers - explore the seaside in the past, paint fishy underwater scenes and make an ice-cream cornet mobile. Wednesday 22 July

Ages 5 to 11 Nature Artist - make a mono-print inspired by nature, a landscape picture using rubbings and textures and create a collage from torn paper. Friday 24 July

Ages 3 to 6 Regency Revels - create some special hats and headgear, dress up in them and learn how to bow and curtsy. Wednesday 29 July

Ages 5 to 11 Picture Frames - create a picture frame using motifs and designs from our special exhibition. Friday 31 July

Ages 3 to 6 What’s the Weather! – be inspired by our special exhibition to create a seasonal weather picture. Wednesday 5 August

Ages 5 to 11 Sewing Special - explore eighteenth century fashion in our special exhibition and sew a simple cross stich design. Friday 7 August

Ages 5 to 11 Identify Yourself - create maps of your identity just like Grayson Perry, then make a self-portrait using pens and watercolour pencils. Friday 14 August

Creating landscapes KS2

This 2 hour session is focussed on the range of methods and approaches of landscape artists. Pupils create responses in dry materials.

Facing up to it KS2

This two hour session works with the portraits in our main art collection. Pupils use a wide range of media to draw portraits and self portraits. They produce a final 3D abstract piece of work using card and scissors.
