The Keep Military Museum respresents the honour, service and traditions of the following Regiments; Devonshire, Dorsetshire, Dorset, Devonshire & Dorset, and the associated Yeomanry of Devonshire and Dorset. The Keep is a Grade 2 listed building, built in 1879 to resemble a Norman gatehouse. The Museum is on four floors and in fine weather the roof is open for splendid views across Dorset. We have DVD/Video presentations, touch screen computers and a laser-mini battle system. Our archive and library are not open to the public unless by prior arrangement; however staff and volunteers will always try to help visitors with research queries.
