Funded by the New Opportunities Fund, Knitting Together has been created by Leicester City Museums Service, Derby City Council, Leicestershire County Council and Nottingham City Council and traces the history of the knitting industry in the East Midlands. The site is a treasure trove of facts, images and oral histories and tells the compelling story of a region's livelihood from 1589 to the present day.
