Litro magazine and the Dutch embassy invite you to celebrate the best of the Netherlands in a free spoken word, sports and music festival at Hyde Park next week.
In honour of London 2012, the event will nod to an Olympic theme, looking at the place of sport in a literary context by drawing together a cross section of guest speakers.
The names on the programme reflect the way in which sport and literature connect, with guests such as Abdelkader Benali, a marathon enthusiast and writer of the novel Marathon Runner, in attendance.
Also on the bill is Flemish writer Chika Unigwe, the winner of 2004 BBC Short Story Competition the Commonwealth Short Story award.
Sports enthusiasts will be pleased to learn that international Dutch athletes and footballers of past and present will also be the event to discuss their views on the Olympics.
Other highlights include the Dutch sports commentator Mart Smeets, Simon Kuper of the Financial Times and award-winning writer and poet Ramsy Nasr.
The event will kick off at the Serpentine Bar and Kitchen, then move to the Kensington Gore Hotel from 5pm.
Readings, discussions and interviews will take place throughout the day and there will be live music from bands Dust and Mad Dog at The Gore in the evening.
