Following on from the massive success of last year’s event, Culture24 and MLA can reveal that next year’s Museums at Night event will be taking place on May 14-16 and we want you to be part of it.

More than 150 events took place around the UK last year, attracting an audience of more than 34,000, and this event promises to be even bigger and better - so start planning now to make sure that you don’t miss out.

“The MLA is delighted to be sponsoring Culture24 in 2010 to build on the success of 2009,” said Roy Clare, MLA Chief Executive.

“The nights weekend has proved to be an enjoyably original way to extend the reach of museums to more and more people who are eager to engage with the artefacts and expertise of those present to them.”

Museums at Night 2009 attracted a large number of visitors who wouldn’t normally visit a museum, and a massive 80 per cent of visitors rated their experience as eight or above out of ten.

Culture24 will be running a national marketing campaign to help promote your events, and VisitEngland have already been confirmed as a marketing partner for the 2010 event.

The national event also provides a great opportunity to work collaboratively with other institutions across your city or town. Some of the most successful events in terms of publicity and audience participation last year included city-wide events in Bath, Newcastle and Leicester.
