Tea and coffee, collect your badge and programme
9am-9.45am Cinema 1: Tom Uglow, Creative Lead at the Google Creative Lab in Europe
Keynote: User experience. Is there anything else?
Tom will focus on how pervasive digital has become, how it is no longer a broadcast channel, or a ticket sales outlet, but is expected to be an entire world that has to sit alongside whatever you do in the traditional, physical world.
He will stress the importance of being open to experimentation, building, packaging and iteration - identifying your successes and accepting your failures.
9.45am-10.15am Cinema 1: Matt Locke, Storythings
Amongst The Crowd: A brief history of attention and audiences:
Using examples from history and his own experience at the BBC and Channel 4, Matt Locke will sketch out how our understanding of audiences has changed, and how the ways we measure them end up affecting the way we create and commission cultural projects.
10.15am-10.30am Cinema 1: Tom, Matt and Jane
Discussion of themes from the morning talks and questions from the floor. Read the Speaker Biographies.

10.30 - 11am Waterside 2/3: Coffee and Tea

11.30am-1.00pm Cinema 1: Failing Forward Case Studies
It is hard in the public sector to talk about how things haven't worked but no project is a failure if there is good learning. It is important that as a sector we understand that we are on a learning curve and it is steep! Come and listen to the inside story on a variety of projects from which we can all learn useful stuff to make our organisations stronger. Chaired by Mia Ridge.

1.00pm-2pm Waterside 2/3: Lunch

2.00pm-2.30pm Cinema 1: Strategies, tactics and tools
With Jane Finnis
2.30pm-4.30pm: Two simultaneous options:
Option One: Crit Room, (Cinema1):
With panellists Adam Gee (Multiplatform Commissioning Editor [Factual] at Channel 4); Anra Kennedy (Content and Partnerships Director at Culture24); Fiz Yazdi (User Experience Director at Cxpartner)
Submit your website or online service to the Crit Room in advance, complete with the problem or challenge you face. Our three experts will review all sites in advance and offer live feedback and advice to you in the session.
After the panel feedback it will be the turn of the floor to add any other comments or ideas. We expect each crit session to take approximately ten minutes, and the panel will break for a minute between sessions to allow for a change over.
Option Two: Talk Tables, (Waterside 1):
Google Analytics; TripAdvisor; Building Digital Capacity for the Arts (Arts Council England); Hitwise (Experian); JISC; Cogapp; cxpartners; Loic Tallon (Pocket Proof); Social Media pick 'n' mix (Rachel Clements and Elena Villaespesa); Gaming (Danny Birchall and Martha Henson)
Visit a range of different companies and services operating either analytical tools, research or strategic services. Come and chat, ask questions and discuss how they work and what they can do for you. No sales pitches guaranteed.
Every ten minutes a bell rings and you move on - like speed dating but without the embarrassment. No time to get bored, just pick up lots of titbits and useful stuff to take home.
