Nymans is one of the great gardens of the Sussex Weald and is internationally famous for its beauty and collection of rare plants. It is the achievement of three generations of the Messel family over a period of over a hundred years.

Art Workshop: Clouds in the Landscape

  • 6 — 8 November 2014

John takes inspiration from the seasonal changes on the landscape and gardens of Nymans. This month create clouds in the landscape.

Join us for a full day of relaxed and empowering art making in our Potting shed. Learn easy techniques working with acrylic paints on board (be prepared to get messy), making various marks and building textures. Take home skills and inspiration to continue your artmaking at home. At the end of the class you'll take home your very own masterpiece and be inspired to continue making art.

Once you've mastered the necessary skills, you can continue making at home for friends and family.

We'll provide the festive foliage, moss and wreath ring and professional instruction, so all you have to do is assemble. If you'd like to add your own little ornaments, feel free to bring these along and we'll show you how.
