Hatchlands is among the largest country estates surrounding Greater London, and was designed in part by Humphry Repton. It is a peaceful haven for wildlife and there are a variety of marked walks through woodland and open parkland.

The house is a Grade I listed building built in the 1750s and is home to Alec Cobbe and his remarkable collection of paintings, fine furniture and composer-related keyboard instruments. Telephone: 01483 222482.
