Set amidst glorious countryside along the River Test, this 12th century Augustinian priory was converted into a private house after the Dissolution of the Monasteries and still retains the spring or "font" from which its name is derived. The key attraction is the grounds with magnificent trees, walled gardens and the National Collection of Old-fashioned Roses, at their best in mid-June

Wild Bushcraft

Learn essential skills that every budding Bear Grylls needs to survive in the wild! Build dens to shelter under, construct a great campfire and toast marshmallows over it! Our ranger will also show you how to hunt for bugs and creatures in the woods.

Natural History Illustration Workshop

  • 8 November 2014 12-4pm

Artist Louise O'Reilly has spent three months at Mottisfont, researching the early history of the priory and immersing herself in the world of medieval illustration and map-making. She has created a beautiful 'new' medieval map; the Mappa Mottisfont. Now she has open her door to you to have a go yourself.
