Hinton Ampner is one of the great gardens of the 20th century and is a masterpiece of design by Ralph Dutton, 8th and last Lord Sherborne. The 5ha (12 acre) garden unites a formal layout with varied and informal plantings in pastel shades. It also has magnificent vistas over parkland and rolling Hampshire countryside.

Wellies and snowdrops

Build a Den at Hinton Amper!

As part of the National Trust's 50 things to do before you're 11 3/4 campaign we are having a weekend of fun, learning how to build your own woodland hideaway. Our expert den builders will be on hand to help you learn the woodland skills you need. There is a 15-20 minute walk to the woodland to do this activity.
