In 1761 the founders of Child's bank commissioned Robert Adam to transform a crumbling Tudor mansion into an elegant neo-classical villa.

Getting there

By car: Osterley Park is located off the A4 between Hammersmith and Hounslow. Follow the brown signs on the A4 between Gillette Corner and Osterley Underground Station. The entrance gates are at the junction with Thornbury and Jersey Roads.

From the M25 (west). Take the M4, exit 3 then follow the A312/A4 towards Central London. Take the first left after Osterley Tube Station.

From the east/central London, take the M4 exit 2, then follow the A4 towards Heathrow, turning right shortly after Gillette Corner.

If using SATNAV please enter TW7 4RD to take you to the front entrance.

Public transport: Osterley Underground station is on the Piccadilly line and is a 10 minute walk away. Once out of the station, turn left and then turn left again into Thornbury Avenue, the gates to the park are at the end of this road.

The Bus H91 (Hammersmith-Hounslow) stops on the A4 at Osterley underground station.
